How does the Beer Festival work?

The River Bend Beer Festival is committed to showcasing the beers of Virginia’s best breweries. Your ticket gives you:

• Eight (8) 3.5 – 4 oz samples

During the festival, there will be food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase (not included in the ticket price).

How long does the Beer Festival last?

Entry to the tasting begins at 11:30 a.m. The final pours of the Festival are at 2 p.m., and the venue closes at 2:30 p.m.

Who can attend the Beer Tastings?

To purchase and consume beer you must be 21 or over and bring with you a valid picture ID. Families are welcome to enjoy the food and non-alcoholic beverages. Sorry, but pets will not be granted access in the Pavilion area.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable.

What should I do to best enjoy a Beer Festival?

• Don’t rush through your samples, take time to enjoy the aroma and savor the flavor. Craft beer is a complex drink, made from an infinite combination of 4 basic ingredients, water, malted barley, hops and yeast.
• Drink plenty of the water. Water not only cleanses your palate between your samples but keeps you hydrated.
• Eat. Drinking on a empty stomach is never a good idea, so have something to eat when you get to the Festival.
• Don’t drink too much. We want everyone at the Festival to have a good time, drinking too much distracts from the atmosphere of the Festival and lessens your enjoyment of the participating breweries’ beers.

What is allowed or not allowed in the Festival?

Though we will provide, feel free to bring a lawn or portable chair into the Festival. No coolers, bags, food or beverages will be permitted inside. We reserve the right to inspect packages that could conceal these items.
